A bumper year at the Sherfield Show
Norman Smith & John Attwood both won prizes in this year's Show
A Village Hall was bursting with colour at the weekend. The 43rd Sherfield Show was held to support the Sherfield-on-Loddon Lunch Club, and on display was a range of local crafts, flowers and produce.
Show Secretary Natalie Larner said that it has been a bumper year and the show demonstrated the village's community spirit, with entries up as well as visitor numbers. She said: "More people are now entering handicraft, cookery, art and photography classes." Natalie said that thanks to the recently-formed Sherfield and District Gardening Club in the village, even more horticultural entries were expected next year.
Show Committee member Catherine Bartrum said: "We are so pleased that all the judges commented on the high quality of our lovely exhibits." "And we were thrilled by the fantastic number of people who came along and their generosity in donating at the door."
